The chance to meet an array of farm animals at close quarters proved the highlight of another memorable Rogation Sunday.
Hosted this year by St Matthew, the annual event brought together people from all four parishes within the Benefice.
The weather was mixed, although thankfully the rain managed to stay away, as the group took in hugely entertaining visits to Lowlands Farm Alpacas on Peel Road and Pembertons Farm on Ballam Road, before hearing a short talk on the connection between local farms at our church back at St Matthew.
We heard readings from Rev Philip and sang hymns while the buffet, provided as a joint effort from St Matthew, St Michael, St Annes and St Nicholas went down extremely well.
Many thanks to everyone involved.
