Guitar/vocalist Kev Kendal – a renowned songwriter and professional entertainer – is booked to appear on Sunday 11th May at 7.30pm.
A native of Cumbria, we are delighted to welcome him for what promises to be another musical treat with songs from across the genres.
Former front man of modern covers band ‘Sound’, Kev decided to go solo in 2014 and hasn’t looked back in anger since.
His own acoustic musical brand is wide ranging, taking in pop, indie, folk and country with a hint of cheeky humour and some excellent original material.
“I draw inspiration from just about everywhere as well as my own experience over many years,” he says. “Basically I sing songs about love, life and rice pudding!!”
Due to Kev’s popularity we have had to switch from our normal Friday night to SUNDAY and we hope we can once again count on the support from across the benefice.
It is now five years (yes, FIVE years!) since we first decided to test out demand for live concerts and we have since managed to build up a very loyal following.
The Shanty Crew singers got the boat rocking back in February 2020 (who remembers that?) and a whole variety of entertainers have followed.
- Tickets for the Kev Kendal gig are now on sale (priced £10 including refreshments) for what promises to be another great night at our intimate ‘Ballam Arena’. Please book by calling 07802429375 or 07973313332.
