Leading Lancashire musician and vocalist Mike Kneafsey is heading to Ballam.
The talented singer/guitarist and songwriter will star in our latest live charity concert on FRIDAY NOVEMBER 15th (7.30pm).
Mike has performed live on BBC, supported the likes of Midge Ure and worked on Princess Cruise ships, as well as playing many venues in the North West.
A professional musician for 20 years, he promises an evening of well-known songs – performed acoustically – across a wide spectrum of top-line artists including the likes of John Denver, Bob Dylan, Everly Brothers, The Beatles, Oasis, George Ezra, Billy Joel, Stereophonics, Neil Diamond, Simon and Garfunkel, Ed Sheeran … the list goes on.
“I play famous covers, songwriter tracks, singalongs, fingerstyle folk-blues or lively hits from the 60s to the present day and will put together something which perfectly suits both the venue and the audience,” says Mike. “The sole aim is to give people a great time and, having heard about St Matthew’s and the people there, I’m really looking forward to coming along.”
Mike lives in Darwen, had a spell teaching guitar at Oakhill College in Whalley and has organised and played at numerous music festivals.
“Playing live concerts and teaching are my two loves and many of the students I have taught down the years have gone on to making a living in the music industry, which is very pleasing.”
Mike follows in the footsteps of some hugely enjoyable shows at St Matthew including the Shanty Singers, the Fylde Coast Youth Theatre, BANDIT, Cartwright Guitar Sound and Johnny B.
