Concert Hits Top Note

Five of the region’s most talented young entertainers were in fine voice in a memorable charity concert at St Matthew’s.

Luke Moore, Maisie Brook, Abbie Bolton, Reese Hudson and Owen Dickinson – all teenage members of the Fylde Coast Youth Theatre – received a standing ovation after performing “Songs from the Shows” to a most appreciative 50-strong audience.
The hit list included songs from musicals like Hamilton, Legally Blonde, Cry Baby, Shrek, Grease and many more.

“It was a fabulous night and Luke, Maisie, Abbie, Reese and Owen were on top form,” said Paul Agnew, Chairman at St Matthew’s. “They proved what great young talent there is in this region and we were delighted to be able to give them a platform. The positive feedback from the audience spoke volumes.”

Debbie Parkinson, who runs the FCYT said: “What a lovely event. The venue was perfect and everyone seemed to have a good time. People were so welcoming and we were very proud of our singers. They love doing live shows and it was another great experience for them.”

Proceeds from the concert are to be shared between FCYT (a-not-for-profit organisation based in Kirkham) and St Matthew’s.
